8th Grade Learning Objectives: Students will “determine why colonists were so opposed to taxes being imposed on them by British Parliament after the French and Indian War through a warmup,” they will “discuss why the colonists opposed new taxes and felt that British law was increasingly oppressive and the colonial leaders that emerged as tensions with Britain increased through Accountable Talk,” they will "analyze Growing Resentment Against Britain through a Storyboarding a textbook reading assignment and a Problem-Solution Journal,” they will “examine the First Great Awakening through a Reading Like A Historian Primary Source Rewrite/Key Word Outline,” they will "analyze the effects of the Proclamation of 1763 through a Partial Multi-Flow Map," and they will "analyze faith movements in American Society through a Round Robin (if time)."
