Students will review and discuss "Jewish Life in America" and "Chinese Life in America;" they will create and share out "a letter home in the perspective of an immigrant in the United States in the 1880s-1920s."

Students will discuss "the concept of immigration through wordle.net," they will discuss "what they know and what they wonder about immigration to the U.S. through an inquiry chart," they will discuss discrimination of Irish immigrants and the life of an immigrant child. Homework: Students will read pages 378-382 and they will complete Interactive Student Notebook page 178.
