I hope you all have a wonderful break for the Holidays! We will reconvene on Tuesday, 01/04/11. There are going to be a number of fun NBA games to watch over break! Enjoy!! Also, remember you can begin filling out the Chapter 9 Study Guides to keep refreshed on the material learned in class. The test for Chapter 9 will be on Friday, 01/07/11. So, it wouldn't hurt to study early! Don't procrastinate! When we get back on Tuesday, 01/04/11, we will have the following Learning Objectives: Students will discuss "the common market in the United States" and "how a bill becomes a law;" they will discuss "Checks and Balances and the Amendment Process." Homework for that night: "ISN page 57 #1-2 and Re-read Chapter 9. Also, work on Study Guide for Chapter 9. Finally, study for Friday's (01/07/11) Ch. 9 Test."
Students will discuss "the checks and balances of U.S. Government" and "the Amendment Process;" they will discuss "the setting, subject, and big idea for Chapter 9." Homework due tomorrow: ISN page 55 #1-3 and ISN page 56 #1-3.
Celtics play the Hawks tonight at 8:00pm Eastern Time. Students will discuss "the powers of the President" and "the powers of the Supreme Court;" they will discuss "Checks and Balances in the Government."
Celtics vs. Knicks tonight 7pm Eastern Time. HW Tonight: ISN page 55 #1-3. Learning Objectives: Students will discuss "requirements for the Senate/House of Representatives" and "the powers of Congress," they will discuss "the Setting, the Subject, and the Main Idea" for Chapter 9.
Tonight's HW: Read Ch. 9 pages 123-126. Do ISN page 54 #1-3. Students will discuss "the Electoral College System" and "How a Bill becomes a law;" they will discuss the "Subject, the Setting, and the Big Idea for Chapter 9."
