Homework on Tuesday Night: Read Chapter 9, complete Interactive Student Notebook page 55 #1-3. Students will discuss "judicial review" and "checks and balances;" they will "review key terms through flyswat review game."
Homework on Friday: No homework. Students will discuss "powers of the President" and "requirements to become President;" they will discuss "checks and balances through brainpop."
Homework: Read pages 128-130, "Amendment Process" diagram Students will "discuss members of Congress" and "the powers of the Congress;" they will discuss "how a bill becomes a law through a video" and they will "discuss the three branches of government."
Homework for Wednesday night: Read pages 126-127 and complete "Checks and Balances" diagram. Students will "review the foundation of the American political system and the ways citizens participate in it" through "part 2 of the Benchmark Test."
Homework for Tuesday night: Read pages 123-125, "How a bill becomes a law" diagram. Students will "review the foundation of the American political system and the ways citizens participate in it" through "a two day benchmark exam."
Homework on Monday: Read pages 119-122. Get sleep for the second part of the benchmark! Students will "review the foundation of the American political system and the ways in which citizens participate in it" through the "Chapter 8 Test."

Thursday Night Homework: Read Chapter 8, Chapter 8 Test on Friday, Complete Study Guide for Chapter 8 (optional, but you can use it on your test). Students will describe "the Federalist Papers" and "representative government;" they will review "the Electoral College through a video clip" and "discuss the compromises of the Constitutional Convention."
