8th Grade Learning Objectives: Students will “examine the role of James Madison at the Constitutional Convention through a warmup,” they will "discuss the Revolution's legacy, who led the Constitutional Convention, the main differences between the two rival plans for the new Constitution, and how much power the federal government should have and what it should do through Accountable Talk," they will "examine the Articles of Confederation through reading and discussion of the early Constitution (finish)," they will "analyze Shays' Rebellion through a Primary Source Rewrite Activity (finish)," and they "will analyze the Articles of Confederation, the Virginia Plan, the New Jersey Plan, and the Great Compromise through a JigSaw Classkick Great Compromise Activity."
