Homework for Tuesday Night: Re-read Chapter 12, Chapter 12 test on Friday, Chapter 12 timeline due on Friday. Students will review "the Battle of New Orleans" and "results of the War of 1812;" they will "review the foreign policy of the 1st five U.S. presidents through a Narrative Input Chart" and "Chapter 12 powerpoint."
Homework for Friday: None, enjoy the three day weekend! (There will be a Chapter 12 test on Friday, 02/17/12). Students will review "impressment" and "reasons for war with Britain;" they will continue "processing CCD word isolationism and discuss "James Madison after a video clip."
Homework for Thursday Night: Read pages 171-173 and complete Federalists and Republicans S-S-Lightbulb and Essay (due on Friday). Students will review "the Jay Treaty and the XYZ Affair" and "Thomas Jefferson's foreign policy;" they will "discuss the word isolationism through a CCD chart" and they will "complete chapter 12 observation charts."

Students will review "George Washington's foreign policy" and "the great seal of the Untied States;" they will discuss "the XYZ Affair after a video clip," and they will discuss the word "isolationism through a CCD chart."
Homework Tuesday Night: Read pages 164-167, Federalists and Republicans S-S-Lightbulb and Essay (due Friday). Students will review "the aspirations and ideals of the people of the new nation;" they will preview "foreign policy of the first five presidents through a Prediction/Reaction Guide" and they will discuss "foreign policy in the U.S. through an Inquiry Chart."
Homework for Monday: Read pages 161-164, work on Federalists and Republicans S-S-Lightbulb and Essay (due Friday). Students will review "the aspirations and ideals of the people of the new nation" through a Chapter 11 test.
HW for Friday: No HW, but you may want to get an early start on the "Federalists and Republicans" Essay. Students will review "Washington's Farewell Address" and "the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions;" they will discuss "political parties through S-S-Lightbulb and vocabulary review."
