No homework on Friday. Students will review and discuss "the Battle of Bull Run" and "female support in the Civil War;" they will discuss strenghts and weaknesses of the North and South through a Comparative Input Chart and they will discuss 6th/7th grade Social Studies review.
Homework on Thursday: Read Chapter 22 up to page 314, complete ISN pages 154 and 155 for Friday. Students will review and discuss "the beginning of the Civil War" and "the strengths and weaknesses of the North and South;" they will discuss "major events of the Civil War through Observation Charts."
Homework on Wednesday: Read Chapter 22 pages 307-310, Interactive Student Notebook page 154 due Friday. Students will review and discuss "the Northwest Ordinance of 1787," "the Missouri Compromise," and "the Election of 1860;" they will discuss "the Kansas-Nebraska Act" and "the Dred Scott Decision" through a group quiz.
Homework for Tuesday Night: Read Chapter 22 pages 303-306. Students will review and discuss "the Compromise of 1850" and "the Kansas-Nebraska Act;" they will begin to process the vocabulary word "segregation" through a Cognitive Content Dictionary Chart, and they will discuss Bloodshed in Kansas through a video.
