Homework on Thursday: Finish Chapter 15 Reading, complete ISN page 109 Students will review and discuss "manifest destiny and the expansion of the United States;" they will learn how to build a test question for the "Graffiti Wall review activity."
Homework on Wednesday is to Read up to page 207 in the History Alive: The United States Through Industrialism textbook. Also, homework is to make a total of four questions (one multiple choice, one true/false, one fill in the blank, and one open ended question). I would like you to make two of the questions from Chapter 14 material and two of the questions from Chapter 15 material. This will be used for the "Graffiti Wall" on Thursday. These questions that students create will makeup the quiz for Chapters 14 and 15. Students will review and discuss "the Louisiana Purchase debate" and "the Alamo;" they will discuss war with Mexico and the Setting, Subject and Big Idea for Chapter 15.
For Homework, we will continue reading Ch 15 (pages 204-205). Also, S-S-Lightbulb is due Friday (with pictures and writing). Students will review and discuss "the acquisition of Florida" and "rising tensions in Texas;" they will discuss Texas independence.
